It’s finally official! ORPALIS is now part of the PSPDFKit team. We’re proud to join forces with the Austrian-American company, and we’re excited to present an extended offer of components and solutions to our customers.
You may have noticed the announcement on all our websites, we’re adding a new step to our journey!
Focusing on innovation
Since the release of the GdPicture SDK in 2003, ORPALIS has developed an extensive suite of components thanks to an aggressive roadmap based on user feedback.
You can check our weekly releases since 2008 (unfortunately, we didn’t keep the first versions) on our forum.
Major milestones
The first GdPicture release
The GdPicture SDK is at the heart of our company. Since its first release in 2003, we’ve provided tools and solutions for millions of users.
All our products are built with GdPicture, including our other SDKs:
And our productivity apps:
Young Innovative Company
Recognized Young and Innovative Company by the French state in 2013, our focus has always been on developing our own technologies for PDF, machine vision, and document processing.
PDF Association Board of Directors
ORPALIS is a member of the PDF Association since 2017.
Its mission is to promote Open Standards-based electronic document implementations using PDF technology through education, expertise, and shared experience for stakeholders worldwide.
As a company, we helped organize the first PDF Day France in Toulouse in 2019, and the following year I joined the Board of Directors.
Welcome Aquaforest
Early in 2021, we welcomed the Aquaforest team at ORPALIS.
Aquaforest are experts in searchable PDFs and document automation.
While Aquaforest’s enterprise solutions benefit from extended features thanks to the ORPALIS components, we expanded our end-user offer with low-code/no-code tools and solutions for SharePoint and other Microsoft platforms.
PSPDFKit
Many iOS developers are familiar with the PSPDFKit SDK.
The company’s products also cover all major platforms and support a wide range of programming languages, and can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud with ease and at any scale.
A few months ago, PSPDFKit announced a 100 million investment from Insight Partners to fuel growth. For the first quarter of 2022, the company releases record results driven by new customers, representing an organic year-over-year (YoY) growth of 75 percent.
A great technological fit
Developers working on mobile apps will benefit from the PSPDFKit products, while our SDKs will enrich their .NET offer. In addition, we’re going to work together on our Web toolkits to provide the best viewing experience to our customers.
We’re bringing our 3,000 features, especially:
- advanced PDF functionalities
- innovative OCR engine
- TWAIN & WIA scanning capabilities
- and more!
A great cultural fit
We could only partner with a company whose vision and mission are similar to ours.
Besides striving to do our best at all times and providing our customers with the best tools and support possible, it was crucial to be part of a team that shares the way we work.
It means two things:
- a remote-first environment that supports everyone’s lifestyle,
- a (truly) diverse team that is also inclusive.
If my calculation is correct, we now count 26 countries in the team!
Do you want to join us? Now is a good time. We’re hiring!
